About Me

Hello readers!

My name is Jill Archie and welcome to my page. I'm excited for you to get to know me and check out my books.

I'm proud to say I wrote and illustrated my first book when I was seven years old. I really didn’t have the illustrating talent, so I just stuck to writing from then on. My book, Ruth’s Adventure was a romance and I have to admit, pretty scandalous.
I was obsessed with writing contests in middle school and actually won 1st place when I was twelve – the Kalamazoo Community Literary Awards. My story, Carmel Wilson and Buttercup Thomson ran in the local newspaper and was my first published work.
When I headed to college, I was lucky enough to be able to choose
Creative Writing. I studied British Lit, fiction writing, and
playwriting.
It wasn't until 2014 that I started writing seriously and in 2019,
I published my first book, Anointed Authority.

A year later, I wrote my next book, Let’s Be Decent Human Beings. At the end
of 2020, I read a book called The Art of Possibility by Rosamund Stone Zander
and Benjamin Zander that literally changed my life. I finally shifted my mindset
from writing on the side, to writing as my main priority and introducing myself
as a writer.
In early 2021, I quit my job and began writing full-time and a year later
released my next book, POSSIBLE, detailing my journey to fully embracing my
calling as a writer.

In 2022, I came across some steampunk-inspired music that I fell in love
with and in one day, I had written out the synopsis for the first book of
The Clockwork Chronicles and it’s been full speed ahead ever since.
This will be my debut novel for young adults, and I am beyond excited
for the illustrated book to be released in 2025!

Now that you know a bit about me, I’d love to get to know you! Feel
free to shoot me a message on my Contact Page. I’d love to chat, hear
